Has anything more hilarious ever been written?
My brother ordered a Dell laptop last night and it got me thinking about what kind of computer I'd build right now if I were in the market for one.
Despite the higher clock speeds the Pentium 4 chips are at I would opt for a Athlon 64. They're cheaper, faster, and have that big iron taste.
Also, I'd run a nice integrated motherboard, probably utilizing Nvidia's nForce 4 chipset. Get a fast SATA drive, see just how fast Native Command Queing (NCQ) really is, and play with the GeForce 6800.
I remember a couple years ago how excited I was when the 1GHz barrier was broken, yet I find myself, even to this day, getting by adequately with my 850MHz Athlon.
Now I'm going to go read a book.
