I have delayed posting for some time because I knew I'd be moving all the files over to the Dreamhost server. I didn't want to re-export/import the database.
The migration went smoothly. I was unsure how the mod_rewrite stuff would pan out, but it wasn't any more difficult than adding the rewrite rules into a file named .htaccess. Nothing more.
The only downside is that Dreamhost feels sluggish with PHP/MySQL applications. I think the databases are on a separate machine, maybe that has something to do with it. Either way, it won't be a problem for long as I plan on a SQLite backend.
It's been lonely here since Michelle's on a business trip in Orlando. Luckily for her she gets good breakfasts and a free premium movie.
