Once in ten

It seems, generally, that once in 10 years you'll run into someone from high school in a fairly miraculous fashion. A couple of years ago this happened to Michelle while we were driving from Georgia to Florida. We stopped off at a Starbucks outside Montgomery and, while waiting in line, a girl came up to Michelle and asked if she went to Jonesboro High.

Then, last night, I was taking Fitz down to go to the bathroom and the elevator stopped and a few people got in. One of the people asked if I went to Eagle's Landing and even remembered my name. I'm really bad at responding appropriately when surprised like this, but it was even worse to not remember her at all. The encounter was skewed heavily in her favor, but it was interesting, and I'm pretty sure something like this won't happen for another 10 years.
